Barbara is currently a Doctoral Candidate from Liberty University's Department of Psychology in Industrial/Organizational Psychology. She possesses a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling and a Bachelor of Science in Multidisciplinary Studies concentrating on Criminology, Psychology, and Theology.
She has been enlisted in the United States Air Force as a reservist since 2006 and anticipates retirement in 2026. During this period, she also worked in the Civil Service as a Prevention Analyst where she purposed her life's work to violence prevention. While employed at Atlanta Police Department, she was assigned to the Special Victims Unit where she investigated crimes against women, children, and vulnerable adults. Barbara had the privilege to retire from law enforcement in 2017. She now researches and employs practical, macro-level applications to assist all persons in quality-of-life improvement with the intention of negating violence and crises.
She serves on the board at Cobb Collaborative, which is a non-profit organization in Cobb County, Georgia. Cobb Collaborative's mission is to engage, educate, and empower the community to improve the well-being of children and families to enable all Cobb Citizens to thrive. Additionally, she serves on the Advisory Boards of multiple organizations aligned with her work-life purpose.
